Teen Wolf, an American television series, loosely based on the 1985 film of the same name, was developed by Jeff Davis for MTV and is currently on its fourth season.
The supernatural, comedy-drama series revolves around high school student and social outcast Scott Mcall (Tyler Posey), who is bitten by a werewolf while looking for a dead girl in the woods that he heard about from a sheriff. Scott attempts to maintain a normal life, keeping the fact of his being a werewolf secret from everyone, with the exception of his best friend “Stiles” Stilinski (Dylan O’Brien), who helps him through the changes in his life and body, and another mysterious werewolf, Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin).
Scott gains supernatural abilities, such as enhanced speed and heightened senses, enabling him to become the captain of his Beacon Hills High School lacrosse team. He gains respect from popular girl Lydia Martin (Holland Roden) and the envy of her lacrosse-playing boyfriend Jackson Whittemore (Colton Haynes).
The series has received a generally positive response from critics, according to Metacritic and deserves five out of five stars, for its “attractive” actors and use of attention-grabbing fast-paced scenes.
